About Ronan

As a passionate photographer, Ronan Bree spends his free time capturing images of nature, including beautiful landscapes and wildlife. His eye for a good scene, in addition to his patience to wait for the right light and the right time of day, ensures he always shoots a fine selection of images. Hailing from Galway city in the west of Ireland, Ronan has had access to colourful wildlife, stunning lakes, majestic mountains, flowing waterways, dramatic light as well as a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. “Living so close to places like Connemara and The Burren makes you feel blessed”.

Ronan has recently moved to the east coast of Ireland, where he is continuing to explore the landscape capturing unique and spectacular images. “I always try to look for a unique angle with every shot. I enjoy the idea that if you give several photographers the same subject to photograph, each will capture it from a different perspective, a different angle or in different light. The major motivation factor for me is that every photograph represents a unique moment in time” states Ronan.

Some of his Connemara images can be seen in a recently published photography book, ‘Spirit of Connemara’ (click here for more details)

In April 2010, the Irish Photographic Federation awarded Ronan with a Licentiateship (LIPF) for his work.

Ronan captures his photographs with both Nikon and Canon digital SLR cameras.
